Utah boondocking spots takes the trophy as one of the most exciting destinations for Utah dispersed campsites in the United States. From forested mountains and alpine lakes in the north to odd red-rock formations in the south, the terrain is incredibly diverse.

Utah Boondocking Spots

This may just be the best state for boondocking and Utah dispersed campsites in the US. Much of the property is held by the Bureau of Land Management, which allows free camping as long as you stay for no more than 14 days and transfer your RV at least 25 miles away after that.

A fresh, more stunning view awaits you at every turn, whether you’re Utah hiking through strange slot canyons or fishing wild rivers under the autumn trees.

That’s just the beginning. Rock climbing, mountain biking, free camping at Utah dispersed campsites, kayaking, photography, and more are all available in Utah. Furthermore, because more than 60% of this magnificent wilderness is public land, there’s never a shortage of fresh boondocking spots in Utah. Every month of the year, Utah provides world-class free camping and experiences.

Bryce Canyon is in the far north of the state, just outside of Brigham City, and Box Elder Campground is ideal for RV boondocking in Utah. It’s for campers who don’t want to get too far away from civilization.

It’s run by the Forest Service and provides flush toilets and clean drinking water for a $22 fee. Mantua Reservoir, with its crystal-clear and cold water, is also close by, tempting would-be swimmers.
