- Ground beef and sliced onion should be cooked together in a large skillet over medium heat. Rinse the water out of the pan and put it back in.
- To the skillet, combine the tomato paste, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
- Reduce heat to low enough to maintain a simmer. Turn down the heat and simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Half of the ground beef mixture should be placed in a 9-by-9-inch baking dish. Add a cup of shredded cheese on top. Iterate until all layers are complete.
- Break open the biscuits and arrange them in a ring around the perimeter of the serving plate.
- Spread biscuits with melted butter using a pastry brush. Garnish with minced garlic and chopped fresh parsley.
- Biscuits should be baked at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are brown.
