Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. chicken boneless, skinless
  • 2 onions medium
  • 2 tbsp. paprika
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 cups water

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cut the chicken into small pieces and set aside.
  3. Dice the onions and set aside.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the paprika, salt, black pepper, baking powder, flour, and cornmeal.
  5. In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the oil and water.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and mix well.
  7. Add the chicken and onions to the mixture and stir until well combined.
  8. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 1 hour or until golden brown on top.
  9. Allow the kvrgusa to cool for a few minutes before serving.
