Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork ground
  • 6 eggs large

Instructions

Preparing the Ingredients

  • a. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • b. Grease a 9x5-inch (23x13 cm loaf pan with vegetable oil.
  • c. Finely chop the yellow onion and mince the garlic.
  • d. Thinly slice the scallions.
  • e. Measure out the fish sauce, cornstarch, vegetable oil, black pepper, sugar, and salt.
  • f. Crack the eggs into a bowl and lightly beat them.
  • g. Set aside the fresh cilantro for garnishing (optional).

Mixing the Meatloaf Mixture

  • a. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, beaten eggs, yellow onion, scallions, minced garlic, fish sauce, cornstarch, vegetable oil, black pepper, sugar, and salt.
  • b. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.

Shaping and Preparing the Meatloaf

  • a. Transfer the meatloaf mixture into the greased loaf pan.
  • b. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to smooth the surface of the mixture.
  • c. Tap the pan gently on the countertop to remove any air bubbles.

Baking the Meatloaf
