Tips and Tricks

Use slightly stale bread: Day-old bread works best for French toast as it holds its shape better when dipped into the milk mixture.
Let the bread soak: Allow each slice of bread to soak in the milk mixture for a few seconds on each side. This ensures that the bread absorbs the flavors and becomes moist throughout.
Adjust cooking temperature: If the French toast is browning too quickly, lower the heat slightly to allow the bread to cook evenly.
Keep cooked slices warm: Place the cooked French toast on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 200°F (93°C) to keep them warm while you cook the remaining slices.
