Ingredients

  • 12 oz artichoke hearts drained
  • 1 cup spinach frozen spinach thawed and drained
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup cheese Locatelli Romano cheese or Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup cheese sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon thyme fresh
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Spinach Artichoke Dip
Prepare the Oven
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Vegetables
  1. Drain the artichoke hearts thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Do the same with the spinach, removing as much excess moisture as possible.
  3. This helps prevent the dip from becoming watery during baking.
  4. Chop the artichoke hearts into bite-sized pieces.
Make the Dip Mixture
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine:
  2. Softened cream cheese
  3. Mayonnaise
  4. Romano cheese
  5. Chopped artichoke hearts
  6. Spinach
  7. Cheddar cheese
  8. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  9. Add the fresh thyme, sea salt, black pepper, and minced garlic.
  10. Stir again until the seasonings are distributed throughout the mixture.
Assemble the Dip
  1. Transfer the spinach-artichoke mixture to a cast-iron skillet, oven-safe baking dish, or casserole dish.
  2. Spread the mixture into an even layer using a spatula.
Bake
  1. Place the dish on the center rack of the preheated oven.
  2. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and beginning to brown around the edges.
Optional Golden Finish
  1. For an extra golden, bubbly top, switch the oven to the broil setting after baking.
  2. Place the dip under the broiler for 1 to 3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  3. Remove once the surface is lightly browned and bubbling.
Rest Before Serving
  1. Allow the dip to rest for approximately 5 minutes after removing it from the oven.
  2. This brief resting time helps the dip set and makes it easier to serve.
Serve
  1. Serve warm with:
  2. Tortilla chips
  3. Toasted baguette slices
  4. Crackers
  5. Pretzels
  6. Fresh vegetables such as carrots, celery, cucumber, or bell pepper strips
Enjoy
  1. This Spinach Artichoke Dip is rich, creamy, and packed with cheesy flavor. The combination of cream cheese, Romano, cheddar, garlic, spinach, and artichokes creates a warm and satisfying appetizer that's perfect for parties, game days, holidays, or casual gatherings.
  2. Serve it fresh from the oven while warm and bubbly for the best texture and flavor.
