Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh sea scallops
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Rinse scallops under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Add scallops to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and slightly caramelized.
  5. Pour white wine and lemon juice over the scallops and stir gently.
  6. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  7. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce is slightly thickened and the scallops are cooked through.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite sides, such as rice or vegetables.
