Ingredients

  • 4 whole trout cleaned and scaled
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Method

  1. Rinse the trout under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dredge the trout in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the trout to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the trout from the skillet and transfer to a serving platter.
  7. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  8. Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  9. Spoon the butter sauce over the trout and serve immediately.

Notes

Tips and Tricks
