Place the chopped Kumaras in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the Kumaras are tender, about 20-25 minutes.
Drain the Kumaras and return them to the pot.
Add the grated ginger, butter, and cream to the pot.
Mash the Kumaras with a potato masher until smooth and creamy.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot.
