Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the orange juice, orange zest, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix well until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Grease a 9-inch cake pan with cooking spray or butter.
  5. Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for about 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes in the pan.
  7. Use a knife to loosen the edges of the cake, then carefully turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once the cake has cooled, slice it into 8 equal servings and serve.
