Tips and Tricks

Be sure to stir the mixture constantly when cooking to avoid lumps and burning.
Use a non-stick pot to avoid the mixture sticking to the bottom of the pot.
To make the melcochas easier to form, wet your hands with cold water before shaping the mixture into balls.
You can also dust your hands with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
