Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbps. dried mixed herbs
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 vegetable oil, for frying

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Paper towels

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mixed herbs, eggs, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients together until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into eight equal-sized patties.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the patties to the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the rissoles from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your choice of sides.

Notes

Tips and Tricks
