- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the milk to the dry ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and roll each part into a ball.
Using a rolling pin, flatten each ball into a 6-inch circle.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Fry each dough circle until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove the Fry Jacks from the skillet and drain on a paper towel.
