I discovered the Finnish Gravlax recipe on a trip and decided to give it a try. This tasty dish is easy to make and perfect for sharing with friends and family.
Rinse the salmon fillet under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
Mix together the sea salt, sugar, and crushed peppercorns in a bowl.
Place the salmon fillet skin-side down in a large dish and sprinkle the salt-sugar mixture over it, pressing it into the flesh.
Sprinkle the chopped dill and aquavit (if using) over the top of the salmon.
Place the lemon slices over the top of the salmon.
