Ingredients
2cupsof cornstarch
1can of condensed milk
1can of evaporated milk
1cupof sugar
1cinnamon stick
1tablespoonof vanilla extract
1tablespoonof butter
Instructions
In a medium pot, mix the cornstarch, condensed milk, evaporated milk, sugar, cinnamon stick, and vanilla extract.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the pot.
Remove from heat and stir in the butter until melted and fully incorporated.
Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
Use a spoon to scoop the mixture and form it into small balls (melcochas).
Place the melcochas onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them cool completely.
Once cooled, serve and enjoy!

Tips and Tricks
Be sure to stir the mixture constantly when cooking to avoid lumps and burning.Use a non-stick pot to avoid the mixture sticking to the bottom of the pot.To make the melcochas easier to form, wet your hands with cold water before shaping the mixture into balls.You can also dust your hands with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
