Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • 2 medium-sized bowls (for coffee and dipping cookies)
  • Rectangular baking dish
  • Plastic wrap

Ingredients

  • 400 grams Dulce de Leche
  • 500 grams Cream Cheese
  • 2 packets Chocolate Cookies (400g)
  • 1 cup Strong Coffee

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the dulce de leche and cream cheese until smooth and well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, pour the strong coffee.
  • Dip the chocolate cookies in the coffee, making sure to coat both sides of each cookie.
  • In a rectangular dish, layer the soaked cookies, followed by a layer of the dulce de leche and cream cheese mixture.
  • Repeat the layers of cookies and cream cheese mixture, finishing with a layer of cream cheese mixture on top.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until firm.
  • Once the Chocotorta has set, remove it from the refrigerator and serve.

Notes

Tips and Tricks

Make sure the coffee is strong and hot to help soften the cookies quickly.
Use an electric mixer to combine the dulce de leche and cream cheese more easily.
