Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef such as low-fat beef, low-fat lamb

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp donor seasoning

  • Pita bread wrap or lettuce wraps (for serving)

Instructions

Preparation of Meat.

  • a. Start by selecting 1 pound of lean meat, such as low-fat beef or low-fat lamb.
  • b. Slice the meat thinly into strips or shavings.
  • c. In a mixing bowl, marinate the meat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  • d. Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of donor seasoning for flavor.
  • e. Season the meat with salt and pepper to taste.

Marinating the Meat.

  • a. After seasoning, let the meat marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
  • b. Optionally, you can refrigerate the marinated meat for a few hours to enhance the flavor further.

Preparing the Sauce.

  • a. In a separate bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of tomato paste with 1 tablespoon of yogurt.
  • b. This sauce will add a creamy and tangy element to your Döner Kebab.

Vegetable Preparation.
