1loaf French breadsliced
2cupswater
1cupbrown sugar
1cinnamon stick
1tspground cinnamon
1/4tspground cloves
1/4tspground nutmeg
1cupraisins
1cupgrated coconut
1cupchopped cashews
1cupgrated cheese
1can condensed milk
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan, bring the water, brown sugar, cinnamon stick, ground cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove the cinnamon stick and set aside the syrup.
In a baking dish, layer the sliced bread, raisins, grated coconut, and chopped cashews.
Pour the syrup over the layers, making sure everything is well covered.
Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Drizzle condensed milk over the top before serving.
