Head over to the Contact Us page and drop us a line for more information. Please note we only accept guest posts from genuine travel bloggers, photographers, and videographers. We are especially interested in Drone Videography articles.
Use the information below to send your article. Our one rule is that any article submitted must be over 2000 words in length with original photos. We do not post videos on our site or free images.
How to Pitch a Guest Post
Start by reading over some past articles to get a feel for the type of content we publish and the different categories we publish in.
Understand what type of publication we are: A blogger's aim should be to present an inspiring perspective on travel and life’s journeys in the guest post. The article should be new, intriguing, informative, exploratory and have an added layer of depth in research and/or presentation.
Your pitch should include a title, story outline, description of accompanying photos/videos/multimedia components, how your story aligns with the Our Big Escape brand and why you are the best person to write the piece. If you are pitching to us for the first time, please also include a very brief bio that outlines your relevant qualifications/expertise. We also want links to your social media handles and links to 2-3 relevant examples of your previously published work.
We are particularly interested in strong photo and video article content. Especially interested in drone articles that evoke a strong sense of place or thoughtfulness. We welcome stories that offer insider tips and useful information for how to travel to a destination, as well as a polished and distinctive writing style.
Email all pitches to ‘Editor-in-Chief John Rodgers' at firstname.lastname@example.org with subject line “Pitch:” followed by a brief description of your idea.
We can’t wait to hear from you!
