HOW WE GOT TO THIS POINT John and I are in our 70s. Before we retired and started traveling in 2014, we were the perfect poster-kids for Couch Potatoes. Once we left the U.S. we no longer had a car and we started doing a lot of walking. The foods we ate were not ‘laced’ with growth hormones anymore. Over time we lost 70 to 100 lbs. each. Neither of us was on any medications. However, nothing could quite prepare us for the speed at which my back started twisting and the cushion in my right hip would totally disappear and allowed my leg to fuse into my hip. At the beginning of 2020, it was bad enough to force us to stop traveling. Then Covid-19 raised its ugly head. It took until the first of August to arrange everything and catch a flight home. I underwent hip replacement surgery in November. I am currently working on recovery. |
HOW DO WE PLAN TO CONTINUE Now that we are back home in America, we have started exploring our own backyard and soon go up into Canada. Our main focus is on ‘How To Enjoy Travel On A Tight Budget’. Using a fifth-wheel travel-trailer is cutting our lodging costs and food costs tremendously. We have gathered recipes from each of the countries and are now assembling fabulous recipes by State and sometimes even by City. In our upcoming posts, we will be outlining how to cut costs and save money in many different and creative ways. Join us in our journey throughout America in the months ahead. |
